Quick answer: what a Smart Tennis Hub partnership is

Tennis Machine SG (GX TECH PTE. LTD., UEN 202503838W) installs and operates unmanned Smart Tennis Hub lockers beside tennis courts at Singapore condominiums, private members' clubs and commercial court venues. The locker holds a professional tennis ball machine along with 130+ pressureless balls, a transport cart and a ball picker; residents and members book, pay and unlock it entirely from their phones — no app, no keys, no counter, no staff. The host venue provides only a 90 × 60 cm footprint and a standard 3-pin socket. GX TECH funds the hardware, insurance, servicing, payments and customer support, and pays the venue a monthly rental or revenue share. Every placement begins with a risk-free 3-month pilot, and the locker is removed at our cost if the venue is not satisfied.

100% Unmanned, by Design

The Smart Tennis Hub asks nothing of your managing agent, concierge, security or ground staff. Here is the entire user journey.

Smart Tennis Hub concept design showing the four self-service steps — scan the QR code, unlock and pick up the gear, take the ball machine to the court, and return it to the locker
Concept design: the whole rental cycle happens between the resident's phone and the cabinet — scan, unlock, play, return.
  1. 1

    Book

The resident or member books a session in their browser — up to 14 days ahead, or right there at the court. Nothing to install.

  2. 2

    Unlock

They accept our Terms of Service and Liability Waiver, pay online, and the locker opens from their phone. No keys, no codes, no counter.

  3. 3

    Play

They wheel the machine onto the court they have already booked under your rules, and train. Quiet electric motors throughout.

  4. 4

    Return

Everything goes back in the locker, they tap to close the session, and the machine begins recharging for the next player.

Curious about the player side of it? The full flow is on our How It Works page, and rates are on Pricing.

What Actually Gets Installed

A weather-sealed cabinet roughly the size of a household fridge, sited in a corner beside the court without obstructing walkways. It needs about 90 × 60 cm of floor and one 3-pin socket.

Weather rating IP65 sealed cabinet — built for outdoor, court-side placement
Power required One standard 3-pin 230V socket

Contents A professional ball machine with adjustable speed (15–110 km/h), spin, feed rate and oscillation, plus 130+ pressureless balls, a transport cart and a ball picker. Machine choice can be tailored to the venue.
Optional compartments Rental rackets, balls, grips and accessories can be dispensed from the same cabinet — or left unstocked so there is no overlap with your own pro shop
Access & payment Browser-based booking and unlocking (no app install), payments via Stripe, every user digitally verified and waiver-accepted
Finish Cabinet finish and branding can be matched to the estate or clubhouse environment, including discreet, unbranded treatments

The same platform also runs smart member storage lockers for rackets and personal gear — happy to scope that alongside, or separately.

Who Does What

We do 100% of the work

  • Provide, install and maintain the locker and the machine at our own cost
  • Carry public liability and equipment insurance
  • Handle every booking, payment, refund and dispute online
  • Run all customer service and technical support — users never approach your staff
  • Attend site on a regular schedule to test equipment, replace balls and keep the area clean
  • Brief your concierge or courts team so they can speak to it knowledgeably
  • Remove the unit and make good the space if the arrangement ends

You provide two things

  • A micro-space of approximately 90 × 60 cm beside or near the tennis court
  • Access to a standard 3-pin electrical socket (230V)

That's the entire ask.

No staffing, no keys to issue, no stock to manage, no incident handling, no capital expenditure, and no change to how your courts are booked.

Four Ways to Structure It

Pick the model that fits how you want to position the amenity. Residential estates usually take a rental; clubs usually care more about the member experience than the space fee.

Model Best for How it works
Fixed rental Condominiums & MCSTs We pay the management a flat monthly rental — indicatively from S$60 per site, inclusive of electricity. Simple to administer and to report to residents.
Base rental + revenue share Estates & venues with high court traffic A smaller base rental covering electricity, plus a share of the gross rental revenue generated at your site. Monthly Stripe statements form the basis of calculation.
Member amenity partnership Private & members' clubs Zero cost and zero outlay to the club. Members pay per session at preferential member rates, discounted from our public rates, and the club gains a new privilege.
Club-sponsored amenity Clubs wanting a headline benefit The club sponsors the Hub for a flat monthly programme fee and members use the machine free, or at a nominal rate — in the same spirit as the gym or the pool.

Term

One year, auto-renewing, terminable by either party on one month's written notice. We remove the locker and make good the space at our own cost. We are equally happy to adopt your standard concessionaire or licence terms.

Electricity

Roughly 15–20 kWh a month even at maximum usage — about S$6–S$8. The monthly fee we pay you already covers it, so there is nothing to meter or reconcile.

What Hosting a Smart Tennis Hub Does for the Estate or Club

Swipe to see more →

Income with no downside

Passive monthly income into the management fund, with no capital outlay, no manpower and no maintenance liability attached to it.

A real amenity upgrade

Residents and members get 24/7 on-demand access to professional solo training equipment. An ordinary court becomes a Smart Court.

Higher court utilisation

The single biggest reason a court sits empty is not having a hitting partner. A machine removes that constraint, filling off-peak hours.

Coaching gets stronger

A ball machine is the practice companion between lessons. Players who drill more book more lessons and more court time — it feeds your resident programme rather than competing with it.

Quiet and unobtrusive

Quiet electric motors and a cabinet that sits in a corner without obstructing walkways, sightlines or maintenance access.

Room to grow

The same platform extends to pickleball machines and to keyless smart storage lockers for rackets and gear, whenever you want the next step.

Start With a Risk-Free 3-Month Pilot

Rental is payable to you from day one. If the council, management or managing agent finds the locker causes any inconvenience at all, we remove it immediately at our own cost — no obligations, no notice period, no argument.

  1. 1

    A 10-minute site walkthrough

We meet you at the courts, identify a suitable corner and the nearest socket, and confirm dimensions. No commitment required at this stage.

  2. 2

A written proposal for your council or management

A short document covering placement, dimensions, commercial terms, insurance and termination — written to be tabled at a council or management meeting. We are happy to attend and answer questions in person.

  3. 3

    Installation and launch

We install at our cost and, where you want one, run a launch programme — complimentary trial sessions and an on-court demonstration for your residents or members.

  4. 4

    Review at three months

You see real usage figures from your own site before deciding whether to continue. Either way, the pilot has cost you nothing.

For Ball Machine Manufacturers & Distributors

Tennis Machine SG is a route to the Singapore market that does not depend on retail shelf space. We operate the deployed self-service rental network, hold the leading Singapore search visibility for tennis ball machine rental, and are in active discussions with private clubs and MCSTs on new placements. A machine in our lockers is used unattended, by strangers, in tropical outdoor conditions — which is the most honest product test there is, and generates duty-cycle and reliability data most distributors never see.

We are open to distribution, club-channel rollout and co-deployment conversations, including for pickleball and for AI-assisted training robots. To evaluate a machine properly we will ask for the following — having it ready shortens the conversation considerably.

What we need to evaluate a machine

Commercial

  • Distributor and partner pricing
  • Minimum order quantity and payment terms
  • Territory and exclusivity expectations
  • Demo unit availability and lead time

Technical

  • Battery runtime under continuous use, and recharge time
  • Unit weight and folded dimensions (our lockers have a fixed envelope)
  • IP rating, operating temperature and humidity range
  • Court surface compatibility

Singapore compliance

  • IMDA equipment registration for wireless modules
  • UN38.3 certification for the battery pack
  • Any safety marks or approvals already held

Support & track record

  • Warranty terms and what they cover in commercial use
  • Spare parts availability and service turnaround outside the country of manufacture
  • Units shipped to date and field failure rate so far

Send a product brief and the items above to info@tennismachine.com.sg and we will come back to you with a view. Machines we currently deploy are described on our Services page.

Partnership FAQ

How can our condominium or club offer a tennis ball machine to residents and members?

Tennis Machine SG installs a Smart Tennis Hub — an unmanned, weatherproof smart locker holding a professional tennis ball machine — beside your existing tennis court. Residents and members book, pay and unlock it from their phones at booking.tennismachine.com.sg, with no keys, counters or staff involvement. GX TECH PTE. LTD. (UEN 202503838W) pays for the locker, the machine, insurance, servicing and customer support; the venue provides only floor space and a power point.

How much space and power does a Smart Tennis Hub locker need?

A Smart Tennis Hub locker occupies roughly 90 cm wide by 60 cm deep and stands about 1.7 to 1.85 m tall — a footprint and height comparable to a household fridge. It needs one standard Singapore 3-pin 230V socket. The cabinet draws 3 to 5 W continuously for its IoT module plus 30 to 40 W while the ball machine recharges after a rental, which works out to about 15 to 20 kWh a month at maximum usage. Tennis Machine SG covers that electricity cost in the monthly fee.

What does the venue pay to host a Smart Tennis Hub?

Nothing. Hosting a Smart Tennis Hub costs the venue no capital outlay, no manpower and no maintenance. Tennis Machine SG pays the host instead — either a fixed monthly rental to the MCST or management, or a base rental plus a share of the rental revenue generated at that site, reported monthly from Stripe. Private clubs can alternatively take a zero-cost member-amenity model with preferential member rates, or sponsor the Hub so members use it free.

Does the locker interfere with our existing tennis court booking system?

No. Machine rental through Tennis Machine SG is separate from, and subordinate to, the venue’s own court booking system — users must still hold a valid court booking made through the estate or club in the usual way. Tennis Machine SG never allocates court time. Where a venue wants it, we can also digitise the court booking process itself, but that is entirely optional.

Can access to the ball machine be restricted to residents or members only?

Yes. Access controls on the Tennis Machine SG platform are configurable per site, so a Smart Tennis Hub can be opened to the public, restricted to verified residents or members, or kept entirely unlisted and private. Private clubs that prefer exclusivity can have their Hub excluded from our public locations page and search listings.

Who is liable if a user is injured or the equipment is damaged?

GX TECH PTE. LTD. carries public liability and equipment insurance for the Smart Tennis Hub and the machine inside it. Every user is digitally verified and must accept the Tennis Machine SG Terms of Service and Liability Waiver before the locker will open, and each rental carries a refundable S$200 security deposit hold that covers damage while the machine is in the user’s care.

How much work does the Smart Tennis Hub create for our managing agent or club staff?

None. The Smart Tennis Hub is 100% unmanned: bookings, payments, unlocking, returns, refunds, customer service and technical support are all handled by Tennis Machine SG online. Security, concierge and ground staff hold no keys and no codes. Tennis Machine SG attends the site on a regular inspection schedule to test the equipment, replace balls and keep the locker area clean.

What happens if the arrangement does not work out?

Every Tennis Machine SG placement starts with a risk-free 3-month pilot, with rental payable to the host from day one. If the council, management or managing agent finds the locker causes any inconvenience, Tennis Machine SG removes it immediately at our own cost and makes good the space. Ongoing terms run for one year, auto-renewing, and either party may terminate on one month’s written notice.

Do you work with tennis ball machine manufacturers and distributors?

Yes. Tennis Machine SG operates the deployed locker network and holds the leading search visibility in Singapore for tennis ball machine rental, which makes us a direct route to market for manufacturers seeking a Singapore channel partner. We evaluate new machines on distributor pricing and terms, verified specifications, Singapore certification (IMDA equipment registration and UN38.3 for battery packs), warranty and spare-parts support outside the country of manufacture, and demonstrated field reliability.
